Tsurine is a PsySpec wrapped up in the intensity of her job, and the delirium that comes with dissociative amnesia. One night, a mysterious woman offers to help recover her lost memories. All Tsurine must do in exchange is hunt down the missing fragments to an unusual key.
Ad Nauseam is an intricate choice-heavy psychological medicore thriller about an amnesiac facing both real and mental horrors within a world akin to an endless, liminal hospital. The game itself is what I like to call an RCN (Roleplay & Click Novel) - a fusion genre of Visual Novel, RPG, and Point-&-Click games that centers around distressing content and how people choose to cope with trauma. Uncover the secrets of this strange world, and the ones lying within your own forgotten memories. Will you accept your limitations, or will you dive deep into delusion for a chance at hope?

The world of Ad Nauseam is heavily inspired by the works and the aesthetics of Yami Kawaii, Liminality, Traumacore, and both Modern & Pastel Goth. It features a long, diverse, and dark soundtrack done by lolratz combining elements of Breakcore, Hyperpop, and Witch House music genres.
Ad Nauseam's Sanitoria is full of disturbing secrets, and widespread mental challenges. Thankfully, you won't have to be alone- Tsurine will have the opportunity of engaging in one of five different major romance routes. Each route and character will offer help in combat, a large influence on the story, and a slowburn yuri romance to tug at your heartstring implants! After all- dark places birth beautiful relationships. Just be wary of those with worse intentions. Where will you draw the lines between circumstance, intention, and abuse?
Ad Nauseam is quadrilogy opera, composed of 4 games, each with 4 "Discs" each. I will release the game one Disc at a time with major updates, each in a completed state. The demo is the entirety of Disc 0. Owning this game prior to the final Disc update means being able to play the Discs as they are completed.

On a more personal note- I'm in a constant fight against a deadly health condition, so any purchases of this game go a long way towards helping me. I rely on a shoddy implant to live that gives me sepsis about once a month (a deadly blood infection). and it's always a huge struggle. I'm currently trying to find alternatives, but I've been dry out of options for a while now. I will continue to work on this game as long as I am able, but I rely on your support to afford proper art for this project, as I'm unable to work a normal job (I cannot leave my home). This game serves as an art piece homage to the medical abuse I've endured over the years, and I hope it helps others with severe conditions feel less alone. The defult icon was Ren'Py Icon, but it took me only like 2 min to change it manually, other than that it works great!!

Icon is in the files of the game in the same folder as the game file to which shortcut refers to. It’s a file with extension ICO you left press on the renpy shortcut icon and customize, or more options or something along these lines, depending on your OS. I think there were a couple of possible icons, so choose whichever you like best.

I just randomly found this yesterday, and paid a little extra after reading the full story of the dev team. This game is SEEPING with meaning, beautiful purpose, amazing art and atmosphere, RICH story, and best of all... A BANGING BREAKCORE SOUNDTRACK. I have not finished the game yet, but holy crap I went to bed last night thinking and wishing I just had more time in the day to play this. And now I have to go to work and wait until after work to play more and I'm like... :(
If I can candidly speak with the dev and everyone working on this project, this is definitely reaching people and helping them feel seen. And please, take care of yourself as best you can, chronic health shit sucks... And the system likes to fuck us over, but, hang in there as best you can and take a breather if you need to <3

Just finished Disc 1 - it made me cry, I LOVE THIS GAME PLEASE PLAY IT. it is BEAUTIFULLY written and you can feel the soul/emotion behind every single word and image. Please do yourself a favor and sit down with snacks and a drink and play the WHOLE thing, I am now obsessed and gnawing at the walls for new discs!! When I played D0 a few months ago, I spoke of the pure SOUL that radiated from this game and D1 only amplified this idea. The music and art and worldbuilding was all so mesmerizing, and there is such a strong cohesion of all three elements that really sells it, too. I played in pitch black as intended, so after I walked around as Tsurine
(or. . . not?)for a few hours, by the time I got to the end I felt like I was more familiar with the atrium than my own home.Leida and Jicca were particularly charming; the phone call with Leida before bed time in d0 got me good, and Jicca just is so bowowow -- she's an all-around legend and had me giving a standing ovation during the kabedon. Yuri!
The biggest plus of there being so much replayability because of the sheer quantity of stuff(ing) to explore is now I have an excuse to romance THEM BOTH on different saves, and I'll get to discover even more secrets each time. It's really awesome, and paying attention to detail was consistently rewarding. And you know I had to lock in for that medical logistics greatness!!!
Tsurine is fun to follow as well, I'm very curious about her next steps (and her past.) Amazing amazing amazing work, I am eagerly anticipating the future of this project. go throwup girl go

the game is definitely a saturated lightshow, but i think it's uniquely special for it. make sure to take breaks if your eyes hurt! i have to take breaks from low contrast / low brightness games myself cause they give me bad headaches
